Love this coat, keeps me dry, light enough to tie around my waist between showers and dries quickly :-)

It’s a good coat and very waterproof I’m sure, but I’m quite short and it’s almost floor length on me . That’s fine but the dark colour of the coat isn’t really relieved by anything so I look like a bollard in it , and not in a good way 🤦🏻‍♀️

I know this is an equestrian coat but I was looking for a dog walking coat that I could wear across the seasons and would keep my legs dry in the Lancashire rain.
After a few walks out I am declaring it the best dog walking coat ever for the following reasons.

It is lightweight and warm with enough space for layering or a clip in liner so you don't feel like an Eskimo waddling around.
It has a decent functional hood with drawstrings to keep it up in the gales
It is long enough to come down to your wellies and keep all of your legs dry no matter the weather.
It is waterproof and breathable
The zip can go both ways so that you can open it at the bottom to really stride out.
It doesn't have a massive rustle when you move to frighten the dog.
and the piece de resistance is the fold down cuffs with drawstring that act like gloves to keep your hands warm and dry but also allow you to pick up poo without juggling gloves and leads.
I don't have a horse but I can imagine that the back opening and the leg straps would be very useful if you did.
A fabulous coat, designed well and made from quality materials

Literally the best and only waterproof coat I will use now! Had this for a couple of years (along with the normal washing rate of horse owners clothes) and it's STILL waterproof, I haven't added any reproofer to it yet either. Super lightweight so it's perfect for all year round - comes up a little roomier to be able to accommodate the liners in winter ❄️isn't stiff like some other waterproof materials nor does it make the world know of my arrival with any rubbing noises. I don't know how they've made it so good but they have! AND you can take the cuffs down over your hands to keep them extra toasty against the weather.
