Brown long girth with brown sheepskin, removable cover.

SLIM LINE is one of our latest generation girths - and it has already proven itself many times over: The super premium quality lambskin cover is removable and the whole girth has a flat and slimline design. This looks much more elegant and provides greater freedom of movement around the elbows. Visible areas are finished in high quality leather. The plastic inserts are easy to remove before washing and just as quick to replace once the girth is dry.

Crescent

For “round” horses with a short back and broad ribcage or narrow chest. The special shape of this girth works with the shape of the ribs so that the girth cannot slip forwards.

Best girth on the market!

I just love this girth. It has been especially good for our pony who is sensitive skinned and has really reduced any discomfort he displayed when having his girth done up. Thank you so much!

Mattes crescent girth

I messaged Mattes with photos of my horse with and without tack. Mattes suggested the crescent shaped girth. I managed to find one listed as a stock item from Horse & Rider. I have used the girth for a week or so and cannot believe the difference it has made to my mares way of going. She is so relaxed and has become much happier in the contact. I have since ordered a bespoke sheepskin liner through H&R and will likely order a second girth for my father's mare. Brilliant product and brilliant service from Mattes and Horse & Rider.
